My partner Sofia was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma earlier this year, and thankfully was successfully treated by the NHS cancer unit at Wycombe hospital. It is not lost on me that many families who receive similarly devastating news do not have such fortunate outcomes - and for that I consider myself, and my family, incredibly lucky. As a direct result of the expertise of all the consultants, nurses and everyone else involved in her treatment over the last few months, Sofia is able to carry on doing all the things she loves to do (e.g. being a mum to our daughter, Ruby) for many more years to come.
It is also not a secret that the NHS is on its knees financially, and I would like to help to make sure that is there for future generations and families to receive the same incredible support as we did. As the saying goes - "every little helps!" - and all funds donated will be directed towards local care for people probably enduring the toughest moments in their lives.
